Behavioral Specialist

responsible for the development, implementation, and training of Behavioral support plans for adults with intellectual disabilities/autism and mental health diagnosis. Conduct functional behavioral assessments upon the request of the support team member or another appropriate referral source to determine the level of care needed for the individual. Ensures the Behavioral Support plan will document the need for a plan, crisis intervention strategies, and data on targeted behaviors. Train staff on BSP, updated BSP annually or as needed and any updates pertaining to strategies regarding adequately supporting the individual. 

Qualifications: 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis or Gerontology. 
  • Two (2) year experience working directly with persons with intellectual disability/autism 
  • Complete the Function Behavioral Assessment Training and the Positive Behavioral Support Training

Direct Support Professional

Direct Support Professionals are responsible ensuring the health and safety of the individuals, daily implementation and monitoring of Individual Support Plan goals. Maintain a safe environment that meets the physical, emotional, and personal needs of the Individual(s). Knowledge of intellectual disabilities and/or autism, mental health diagnosis, crisis interventions and therapeutic relationships processes. Demonstrate the importance of community involvement, social interactions, and maintaining relationships by engaging Individual in community activities. Assist with the development and facilitation of community connections and relationships. We are looking for a DSP that’s professional, compassionate, patient and encouraging at all times. 

Qualifications: 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • At least 1-2 years working with persons with intellectual disabilities/autism and mental health diagnosis

 

Family Caregiver Trainer

provides training and counseling services for unpaid family members or caregivers who provide support to a participant. Will develop, strengthen and maintain healthy, stable relationships among the participant and all members of the participant’s informal network, to support achievement of the goals in the participant’s service plan. Family/Caregiver Training and Support will also assists the participant’s unpaid family member or caregiver with developing expertise so that they can help the participant acquire, retain or improve skills that lead to meaningful engagement and involvement with others and in the community. 

Qualifications: 

  • Licensed in the state of Pennsylvania: Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
  • Preferred experience working with Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism and Mental health Diagnosis.
